DIY chore chart for kids

Found this cool wooden plaque at Walmart and decided to make this chore chart. Here's how:

Materials:
-wooden plaque from Walmart ($5)
- white gloss spray paint
- chalkboard paint
- various colors of acrylic paint
- magnets
- e-600 glue (best glue ever)
-sharpie markers

Steps:
1. Take wooden squares out of plaque.
2. Spray paint plaque with white gloss. I did about 3 coats.
3. Paint squares with chalk board paint. I did 3 coats here also.
4. One squares are dry, add cute boarders with acrylic paints. These paints dry quick but you'll need a few coats.
5. For a cute spin, I used my sharpie and added sayings about being responsible around the edges of the plaque.
6. Using e-600 glue, glue circular magnet on back of squares and plaque. The only this is make sure u glue the correct side down. As an alternate, you can do Velcro.
7. I put colored circles around the magnets so my daughter would know what goes where.
8. Once all is dry: each day/week wrote chores or tasks on squares. Place then in an accessible basket.
9. Each time child completes task (that you have written in chalk) have then as it to the plaque.
10. Offer reward for number of squares or filling the plaque !
